Flowers are pale purple starbursts held in clouds above blue/green foliage that resembles a Columbine
These guys love full sun and moist, rich soil.
They are tolerant of less sun, but may lean so will require staking
Flower stems are black in the early part of the season
It will hate you if you let it dry out.
I have not tested for deer resistance, but I suspect it may be depending on your deer.
Really lovely when the light comes through the flowers.
I have not grown this one from seed myself yet, but have had success with other varieties of Thalictrum via winter sowing.
