Emilia sonchifolia "Scarlet Magic" -Tassel Flower

$3.50

Annual

I had my eye on this for several years before deciding to grow it this year, and I loved it!
Each plant is very airy, with long wiry stems and small, bright orange tassel flowers held up high above the main leaves
Full sun is best
They like good quality but well drained soil to perform properly
Deadhead for continued show
They do ‘not’ like to dry out
I suspect they’re deer resistant, but have not planted in the deer buffet yet-next year!
Gorgeous when combined with plants that have plum or burgundy foliage. I had mine next to a plum Heuchera, and Calendula “Triangle Flashback” (also have seeds for that one listed here).
Best en masse

Easy to grow from seed. Start indoors in Feb and plant out after frost.
